05Common questions
Can an interfaith marriage be registered in Indonesia?
This area is legally sensitive. In 2023 the Supreme Court instructed courts not to grant petitions to register interfaith marriages. We will explain what this means for you and the options that remain, without making promises we cannot keep.
What citizenship will our children have?
Children of an Indonesian and a foreign parent may hold limited dual citizenship until the age of 18, after which they must choose, within a grace period set by law.
We married abroad. What do we need to do?
A marriage performed abroad must be reported and registered in Indonesia after you return. We help you prepare the documents and complete the registration.
